雖然對 Unearthly Trance 根本就一整個不熟，完全是因為 Relapse 的頻道丟了整張作品，心得沒什麼，就是 sludge metal 果然好啊。第二張聽的作品，來自 King Woman，他比較不像傳統的 metal，有 doom 味，但同時又有 alternative/indie 的元素，也不像一般 post-metal 一樣的俗套。

一定要把 Kingdom Leaks 的 tag 留在 Suicide Silence 上。
這次大轉型加入了 alternative metal 的元素，可是你還是聽得到 deathcore，但這並非一個單純把這兩個元素拿出來加加減減，而成的作品，你肯定可以聽到 deathcore 經過了一點變化，也許就以 deathcore 的角度來看，他聽起來不爽、很彆腳，以音樂的脈絡來說，他真的是十分特殊的作品。像 Helmets 一樣粗糙，可是卻又更加的暴力。再此，我似乎能理解那些糟糕的 360 video 是否是這個原因？這張作品同樣在現在精緻的後製時代，真的是 crappy！但如果你從 90 年代開始聽，你會覺得，我操，他們竟然敢這樣玩，真是太屌了！
像是 grunge 走回 death metal 脈絡的感覺，有類似於 sludge，但他絕對不是，並無法定義出這到底是什麼，甚至你可以說 Suicide Silence 根本創造了一個新的音樂類型，《Listen》、《Hold Me up, Hold Me Down》或是《Don't Be Careful You Might Hurt Yourself》這幾首都是很好的模範。要我給他們標籤，alternative metal 真的是埋沒他們的轉變，就給 Memecore 吧！（不是）我覺得暫時我會給 experimental deathcore 吧。看著一堆 deathcore kids 玻璃心碎滿地，同樣期待 While She Sleeps 轉型到迷弟迷妹崩潰的程度 :D

Datura 唱腔特別了點，第一次聽是覺得比較偏 black metal 的唱法，很喜歡他融合大量 post rock 的編曲。好吧，blackgaze 跟 skramz 真的是難以分辨。

作曲家的作品，平常不太聽的，剛好看到這個標籤就試看看。有資料指出他的創作比較偏向世界音樂，恰好點到舊歌，跟這張相比比較 alternative，我意思是說像 Less Than Jake 那類的動態感，我想是某個 jazz 分支的玩意吧。但是我比較喜歡這張老派與民謠的味道。也許這對於聽這塊的樂迷來說，就沒什麼特色吧。

這個樂團主唱加持 Aburden 最近的單曲，路過來聽聽。
這首歌開頭有著 melodic hardcore 和 metalcore 非常 harsh 的唱腔，副歌的部分非常 2000's emo。不過這個 2000's emo 似乎也長大了，十多年後的歌詞和那些青年挫折，有相當大的不同。難得把整首歌詞都貼上來。

[Post-Hardcore] Versus - 2017 - The Cardinal

這張作品相比在 revival 一群，有一些特別之處。先是聽到 Album Sampler 中《No Safety》有聽到相似於 Beartooth 那樣的動力跟不和諧。聽了整張，感覺比較像 2014 年，一些仿過去 post-hardcore 的團，比方說 Everyone Dies in Utah，整個作品曲目安排也是 87 分像，另外有一首《The Looking Glass 》，開頭很像 IKTPQ《The Deepest Sleep》。
不過因為整體聽完覺得跟 EDiU 太像了，所以好像就沒有當初聽 Album Sampler 那樣驚艷。好啦，不管怎麼說，revival 終於有比較不一樣的團了。
